Adewale Ayuba in an interview with Global Excellence spoke on his opinion about the hiphop genre of music in Nigeria and why he thinks hiphop is fuji.
"If you are conversant with the happenstances in Nigerian entertainment industry, you will find out that all my brothers that claim they are doing hiphop like D'banj, Davido and the rest are all fuji singers. When you listen to the way they sing, you can see that the voice is fuji," he said.
"the beat they put behind it is what changes it to hiphop and R&B. What they are doing here is 'tungba' because immediately you press play, you start dancing all the way," he added.
