Singer Shakira is stepping down from her role as a mentor on U.S. reality show THE VOICE to concentrate on motherhood.
The Hips Don't Lie hitmaker, who welcomed son Milan with boyfriend Gerard Pique in January (2013), replaced Christina Aguilera in the judge's chair earlier this year (2013) and now she has confirmed she'll be leaving the competition series after just one season to focus on her parenting duties and the completion of her eighth studio album.
But the Latin superstar hasn't ruled out a possible return to the programme in the future, teasing, "You never know, I might come back!"
The show, which is currently in its fourth season, also features Usher, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as mentors/coaches, and it appears her soon-to-be vacant chair has already been filled - Aguilera will reportedly return to The Voice for the fifth season.
